General Procedure For Submission Of Specimen

 

Toxocara antibody test (ELISA)

 

Hospitals/ Laboratories are advised to process the blood and send at least 2 ml of serum to the Division of Molecular Pathology. Collect the serum in a plain tube, label it, and send to the Division together with a completed request form.


Prader-Willi Syndrome/Angelman Syndrome (PWS/AG)
Mitochondrial Encephalopahty, lactic Asidosis and Stroke -like episodes (MELAS)
Spinal Muscular Atrophy

Hospitals/ laboratories are advised to send at least 3 ml of whole blood
in EDTA anticoagulant to the Unit of Molecular Pathology. Label it and
send to the Unit together with a completed form.
