As support services in any organisation form the backbone of the organisation, the Medical Research Resource Centre (MRRC) provides strategic supportive services to cater and to facilitate research activities conducted by the various centres of the IMR and within the Ministry of Health. This Centre will strengthen its research efforts and provide expert advice in the fields of epidemiology, statistics and data management besides providing services such as current and updated information technology (IT) facilities, electron microscopy, provision of animal resources for research, library facilities, information and publications including on-line journals, medical museum facilities and medical illustration services especially for the preparation of presentations and publications. The consolidation of these independent divisions under the MRRC will facilitate efficient functioning of the reorganised IMR to provide quality support services for all research conducted in the Institute.
The main objective of the MRRC is to forge smart partnerships to complement, supplement and facilitate research activities conducted by the various centres in IMR and MOH.
