INTRODUCTION

Research conducted by this unit include the study of mosquitoes as vectors for diseases such as malaria, filariasis, dengue and Japanese encephalitis. Other insect vectors studied include flies, cockroaches and local sandflies.

The unit is a designated WHO Collaborating Centre for Vectors of Malaria, Dengue and Filariasis.
