1. To conducts studies related to all aspects of ecology related to insect-borne diseases.
2. To carry out studies on the identification and taxonomy of vectors and evaluate the status of the associated group of insects.
3. To develop and test the technology used in vector control either in the laboratory or in the field.
4. To provide consultation and training in specialised field for organizational planning of local and international level.
